Presidents Message

To All Alumni:

At our OOAA Board Meeting, we voted to sponsor one of the cottages for Christmas this year.  The Alumni Cottage is the one we plan to sponsor.  Our goal is to raise $2500 to $3000 for gifts to the children and get some needed items for the cottage.  We are planning to attend the Christmas dinner for the children sometime in the early weeks of December to present the gifts to the children. Any of the Alumni are welcomed to come  up and help us distribute the gifts and have supper with the children.  We hope to have at least $250 per younger child and $300 each for the older ones.

Please send your donations to Bob Critcher or Tina Gilbreath at:

Masonic Home for Children
600 College Street
Oxford, NC 27565-2758

Make checks out to Masonic Home for Children and put a note on it that it is for the Alumni Christmas Gifts.  If you would like to help with the distribution of the gifts, please add a note stating that you would like to come that night to help and you can be notified when it will take place.

Your support is very important and this would mean so much for the children this Christmas.

David Bryant

Playing at the Homecoming Dance
October 11, 2008
Granville County Shrine Club

The Konnection Band was formed with one main objective, to put together a band that played a variety of music that people could dance to, be it rock, funk, R&B, beach or country, and do it with integrity.

We are hoping that by using a live band this year, we will inspire more participation at our Homecoming dance.  It has been falling off the last few years and we want everyone to come out, have fun, socialize and shake a leg for old time sake.

We hope to see you there.
